Improving viticulture and the vineyard: the Noviagri and Ageba projects
Michele Chiarlo supports the Noviagri and Ageba projects with the collaboration of the Barbera d’Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium in order to promote sustainability and respect for the environment. Through these initiatives, it is committed to reducing the use of harmful chemicals, enhancing the area’s natural resources and implementing environmentally sustainable farming practices. In addition, by participating in these projects, it contributes to the protection of biodiversity and the preservation of the surrounding ecosystem.
Noviagri
The NOVIAGRI project (New application Of Vegetation Indexes in AGRIculture), strongly supported and promoted by the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato, enabled the release of funds for the construction of a mechanical atomizer prototype to be used in the vineyard.
Ageba
The Ageba Project aims to select and study old Barbera vine stocks dating back to the pre-clonal period in order to identify plants that are capable of withstanding the effects of climate change. For more details, visit the page dedicated to the project.
