Michele Chiarlo Top Friend, a Map of Taste and experiences in Monferrato
Although it is usually easy to ‘taste’ a wine area, it can be very difficult to truly experience it.
You know the names of the wineries, the top scores of their best wines. You probably even know of a few restaurants to check out. But wine is , above all, a product of culture.
It is a reflection of its environment and narrates the stories of the people and place that made it.
So, when Chiarlo is thinking about wine, it is also through the lens of community; the gastronomic products, the vineyards and the methods, but also of the shared experiences and common values that weave the territory together.
Michele Chiarlo shared this philosophy of wine in his book, Michele Racconta:
“Wavy hills, a few country roads, explosive colours in the summer and fall […] vegetable gardens and fruit orchards at the feet of geometric rows of vines. Consistent with this vision of wine, Chiarlo is launching a new initiative aimed at changing the way you will live and experience wine. It is Michele Chiarlo Top Friend, the first guide map of taste and experiences in Moferrato designed for wine tourists and available for anyone with a passion for wine discovery and a true Piedmont experience.
Monferrato, while being a great place for wine and food, is able to offer so much more which is why Michele Chiarlo Top Friend is the best way to deepen the links between experiences, wine and community, which often remains in the background.
How does Michele Chiarlo Top Friend Work?

As it is a project about the territory, the Michele Chiarlo Top Friend Map will be physically available at our winery in Calamandrana, as well as at all the establishments and activities indicated on the map.
