Cerequio, Asili and La Court En Primeur: the new lot by Michele Chiarlo Wine Club
Following the launch of Cerequio as the first Barolo to be distributed by the prestigious La Place de Bordeaux (>> read more on our blog), the Michele Chiarlo Wine Club offers its members an unmissable chance.
Exclusively for a month – from the 1st until the 31st of March 2022 – members can purchase the «EN PRIMEUR» lot, which includes the best of Michele Chiarlo’s crus, in advance.
Barolo Docg Cerequio 2018, Barbaresco Docg Asili 2019 and Nizza Docg Riserva La Court 2019.
The new lot includes three bottles from three great vintages that the Wine Club offers «en primeur». Members can get their bottles ahead of the official launch on the market set on April.

THREE SYMBOLS OF THE TERRITORY
Barolo Docg Cerequio
Barolo Cerequio 2018 is in excellent shape. The vintage required the winegrower’s sensitivity and experience. Harvest was carried out in the usual period and has brought very healthy and perfectly ripe grapes to the cellar, which yielded a delicate and fine wine characterized by notes of menthol, small red fruits and sweet spices. This vintage is distinguished by elegant aromas and delicate tannins that perfectly combine with the distinct expression of the terroir: the Cerequio vineyard, a historical and iconic cru of La Morra.
Barbaresco Docg Asili
Barbaresco Asili 2019 comes from the homonymous cru located near the small town of Barbaresco: this is the most prestigious cru of the entire denomination and is the symbol of finesse and longevity. 2019 was truly an excellent vintage: the weather allowed for a perfect and slow maturation, which, in turn, led to the harvest of fewer but exceptionally ripe grapes. A complex Barbaresco with a distinct personality, characterized by notes of violet, red fruits and very fine spices as well as dense and silky tannins. This wine will reveal a surprising longevity.
Nizza Docg Riserva La Court
Nizza Riserva La Court also comes from the same year. 45-year-old vineyards grow in the historic heart of Barbera, the La Court estate located in Castelnuovo Calcea, one of the most important vineyards in the area and Michele Chiarlo’s «Temple of Nizza». La Court is produced only in the best vintages and the limited number of bottles are exclusively conferred after at least 30 months of aging, of which 12 are spent in wood. The wine has an outstanding structure, with hints of black cherry, coffee and cocoa notes, but is also fresh and velvety, with a long and silky finish. It reveals the perfect balance between rich flavor and freshness: a true masterpiece to be tasted and collected.
