Tuesday 5, Monday 11 and Friday 15 May. Mark these dates because Michele Chiarlo, the historical winery of Calamandrana which possesses some of the most important crus in the Langhe area, will be using a new and original format to present the new Barolo 2016 and Barbaresco 2017 vintages.

Using the well-known videoconference platform Zoom, Michele Chiarlo will be hosting three Webinars, whose links will be freely available in order to facilitate participation, with the attendance of Italian and international sommeliers.

“Anteprima Barolo 2016 e Barbaresco 2017” (Preview of Barolo 2016 and Barbaresco 2017), this will be the title of the events, will not only center on the presentation of the “King” and the “Queen” of Nebbiolo-based Piedmont wines produced by Chiarlo, but it will also provide insight on the crus e and the unique terroirs on which they grow.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Langhe and the versatile expressiveness of the Nebbiolo grape variety: the real litmus test for these hills which endow the wines with very different shades, although there may be limited distance among them.

Each Webinar will be conducted by Stefano Chiarlo, the winery’s agronomist and oenologist, and a moderator, with the extraordinary participation of numerous Italian and international star sommeliers, who will taste the wines during the preview and will be providing their observations for the occasion.
