The most important international wine fair has been postponed to 2021. The authorities and the organization confirm that the event will be rescheduled on 21-23 March 2021.

ProWein 2020 has been officially postponed until next March.

This is learned from the top managers of the Messe Düsseldorf, the organizers of the event, who officially confirmed this on Friday 6 March.

Here is an excerpt from the press release

“In this context – continues Erhard Wienkamp – the decision taken is the only conclusion we could draw, to protect the wine and spirits industry”. The news was also supported by the German Wine Institute, Prowein’s first sponsor: “Thinking about all the advantages and disadvantages, Messe Dusseldorf reacted in a thoughtful, prudent and correct way,” said the leaders.

The organizer of the fair has confirmed that the 2020 situation will be “frozen” and that everything that has been contracted for this year will be valid for the next. The same applies to tickets already purchased by visitors.
