At Michele Chiarlo, our promise is to let you “Experience the best crus in Piemonte”. With this new lot, we have curated a selection of three expressions of Barbaresco that showcases the beauty, complexity, and elegance that define this legendary region. 

We are especially excited to introduce a brand-new release: Montestefano Barbaresco DOCG Riserva, alongside two timeless classics, Asili and Faset. This trio represents the very essence of Barbaresco, refined and balanced – available exclusively to our Wine Club members. 

Montestefano Barbaresco DOCG Riserva 2019 | The “Barolo of Barbaresco” 

Thanks to its marl-rich soils with significant active limestone, Montestefano is often referred to as the cru that produces the “most Barolo-like Barbaresco”, known for wines of great structure and longevity. From this historic parcel comes Montestefano Barbaresco DOCG Riserva, making its debut with the 2019 vintage. Produced only in exceptional years, Montestefano is a true icon of the multifaceted character of this appellation – structured, bold, and harmonious, leaving a lasting impression and expressing the full power of its terroir. 

Asili Barbaresco DOCG 2021 | The Quintessence of Finesse 

The Asili cru is renowned for bestowing Barbaresco with elegance, delicacy, and a silky finish. Its clay-limestone soils, rich in microelements, produce wines of great complexity, with aromas of violet and red fruits, accented by fine spices. On the palate, the wine is silky, enveloping, and remarkably long. The 2021 vintage benefited from ideal weather conditions, resulting in spectacularly ripe grapes, which give this Barbaresco its elegant structure and refined tannins. 

Faset Barbaresco DOCG 2021 | Elegance and Beauty 

Produced only in outstanding vintages, the Faset cru is a flagship of our production. This south-west-facing vineyard, with its calcium and magnesium-rich soils, produces wines with silky textures and elegant, aristocratic tannins. The 2021 vintage stands out for its broad and enveloping structure, with notes of dried rose petals, small red fruits, and a pronounced minerality. A wine of noble character and great persistence.

To receive exclusive offers from our Wine Club, you will just need to sign up to our newsletter. Every month, special lots will be presented: extremely rare bottles, great vintages, limited editions or tickets for exclusive events or dinner with the producer. Our offers, available only for specific periods and in limited quantities, will be sent exclusively to our members, giving them the chance to make their reservation by filling up a designated form.
