The Chiarlo Experience in the fourth issue of C.R.U

Vinitaly is always a time for connection. As every year, between tastings, conversations, and familiar faces, it was also the perfect moment to share something close to our hearts: the new issue of C.R.U, our company magazine.

Now in its fourth edition, C.R.U brings together the people, the vineyards, and the ideas that shape who we are.

This issue is all about the Chiarlo Experience – our way of seeing and sharing the world, grounded in the belief that wine should be at the center of a deeper, richer experience.

The magazine is now available online, ready to be browsed at your own pace.
Below, the opening editorial. Enjoy the read!

You can only read some hills by walking them. You can only understand some wines by experiencing the vineyard – watching the light shift, feeling the rhythm of the seasons, and sensing the people and nature that inhabit it. Every landscape tells a layered story. Michele Chiarlo recognized this long before it became a trend: wine is not just something you drink, but something you experience. His vision shaped what is now an ecosystem of interconnected elements – the Chiarlo Experience.

The Art Park La Court, the Cannubi PathPalás Cerequio, the restaurant La Corte. Exhibitions, art, wine, literature. In this issue of C.R.U, we explore the building blocks of this vision, tracing its origins through the voices of those who helped bring it to life. Bruno Murialdo takes us back to the early days of Art Park La Court, when a single aerial view reimagined a hillside as a cultural project. Paolo Massobrio revisits Michele Chiarlo’s journey – from sharp entrepreneurial instincts to an unmatched ability to connect with the land. Jeff Porter reflects on Palás Cerequio and on our human search for connection, exploring the experiential power of wine – a cultural force that brings us closer, moves us, and makes us feel part of something greater; Vincenzo La Corte shares his culinary philosophy. We also explore the evolution of sustainability efforts to preserve these rolling hills, unveil the new Barolo DOCG Riserva Tortoniano and its connection to Barolo’s geology, and give tribute to some Piemontesi Eccellenti – the great minds who shaped this region’s cultural identity.

Experience and storytelling, landscape and vision – this is the Chiarlo Experience. And this is what this issue of CRU is all about.
