Barolo DOCGCerequio

“In reality, the first designs were truly ugly and anonymous… Yet, I had it so clear in my mind. At a certain point, i understood my mistake. I should not have worked towards a realistic representation but to a symbol. I needed to find a stylistic key and found it by observing the sketches made. The best were those in which the constructive lines overlapped the design like a cage, outlining its proportions, adding other borders to the forms”.

(Giancarlo Ferraris, label designer)
